Removing pcv valve?

I believe I need to change the pcv valve, any place I take my car to will not do it because it is attached to me valve cover and it twists the cover when you try and get it off. I don't think it has ever been changed (100k miles), and my car idles really rough. My two questions are how should I go about changing it, and would it help my idle? It only idles rough when it is in drive and sometimes reverse.Removing pcv valve?
It sounds more like a vacuum leak. You can check for this by spraying starting fluid on the vacuum lines while the engine is running. The engine will idle faster if the fluid is sucked into a hole in the vacuum line.Removing pcv valve?
